Employee Requirements

  • HIPAA Certification (Initial)
  • NBI and Police Clearance
  • Technical Readiness
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or administrative support

Computer Requirements

To ensure smooth and efficient remote work, VAs must meet the following minimum computer specifications:

Hardware

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or higher / AMD Ryzen 5 or higher
  • RAM: At least 8 GB (16 GB recommended for multitasking)
  • Storage: Minimum 256 GB SSD (Solid State Drive preferred for speed)
  • Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 / macOS 10.14 or higher
  • Webcam: Built-in or external HD webcam for video calls
  • Headset: Noise-cancelling headset with microphone
  • Monitor: At least 13” screen (dual monitor setup is a plus)

Internet Requirements

  • Connection Type: Wired/fiber connection preferred (Wi-Fi must be stable)
  • Download Speed: Minimum 100 Mbps
  • Upload Speed: Minimum 50 Mbps
  • Backup Internet: Mobile hotspot or secondary connection in case of outages

Software & Tools

  • Updated antivirus software and firewall
  • Must be able to install communication and productivity tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, EHR platforms, etc.)

Work Setup

  • Quiet, dedicated home office or workspace
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or power backup system (strongly preferred)
